Visendo SMTP extender connects to your IIS SMTP server -Windows Server 2008, Vista, Windows 2008 SBS - and distributes email without a POP3 connector.
Visendo SMTP Extender is solving the real problem of sending and receiving emails in a IIS SMTP Server without a POP3 connector. It is in fact a native POP3 Server extension for the IIS SMTP server. This allows users to access the emails received by the IIS SMTP server with any email client over the pop3 protocol.
Visendo SMTP extender is monitoring a drop folder where the IIS SMTP server or Sharepoint is saving the emails and, based on certain distribution rules, it is qualifying and routing these emails in subfolders dedicated to different email accounts. From here they can be handled with a normal email client that supports POP3 protocol (Outlook, Windows Mail, EudoraMail, Thunderbird etc.).
